Born in Burbank, California and creatively shaped by a decade spent in Austin, Texas - Julie Nyznik is a Production Designer and Art Director driven by visual storytelling and hands-on world-building. Her journey in to technical art started in the 5th grade, and carried all the way since. She has over 10+ years of set designing experience.

She works across television, feature films, short films, commercials and music videos—designing environments that feel intentional, whimsical, lived-in, and emotionally grounded. Notably was apart of Anxiety, by Docheii which won a Grammy for Best Music Video in 2026 & Folded, by Kehlani who won a Grammy for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance in 2026.

Julie specializes in set design, set building, scenic design, set decoration, graphic design, prop building & fabrication, with additional experience as an armorer.

Whether it’s building bold, stylized worlds or subtle, realistic spaces, Julie thrives on transforming blank canvases into cinematic environments that enhance character, tone, and story.
